Pause for a minute!
by username infor all those who are still on the fence regarding this evil cult i present one image that tells a thousand stories.
i just took a screenshot of this months cult indoctrination broadcast.
although i have watched the "faith in action" video before and it still has the same effect on me as it always does, this image is the most evocative of them all.

The most cultish image that has stuck in my mind from the Philipine tragedy is a child standing beside their fridge or freezer full of WT publications & videos, and smiling proudly and happily toward the camera. -

Which bible character do you hate the most?
by Bonsai inthe more i think about it, the more i feel an extreme dislike for the apostle paul.
he was on par with hitler in his treatment of the jews before he "saw the light".
he replaced jesus teachings of love and mercy with a more legalistic, pharisaical concept of devotion to god.. any evil person can come to believe in god and worship him if the scales were literally and miraculously removed from his eyes.

And Jehovah, letting all those things happen to Job, one of his most faithful, devoted worshippers. Just to prove something to Satan. And showing how, just like the bOrg today, people are replaceable, they don't really matter personally, it's all about numbers. -

There were a lot of very unappealing bible characters, now that I am thinking about it.
Samson was always confusing- when I was a child hearing bible stories, he was so mean and arrogant, and was viciously cruel to animals. It was hard to see how and why he had God's blessing.
Abraham was scary too, knowing that he could tie his young son up and then stab him to death.
Lot.. Getting drunk?? I guess after losing your home and all your possessions and then seeing your wife turn into a pillar of salt.... But then having sex with both daughters? And this was a righteous, faithful man of God?? Well, I guess since there weren't other witnesses around (at least two), then it was okay.....
And yes, Paul. Still very much the Pharisee... He made sure to tell all about his trials and righteousness and self-sacrifice, but then saying how miserable and wretched he was as a sinner. Sort of like the GB today... being sure to be in the limelight and listing all their good deeds and hardships, yet how humble and discreet they must be and are, and how they are only human and imperfect too, yet everybody must obey them & agree with everything they say or face severe repercussions and total loss of family and friends. Forever. And also die a horrible death at Armageddon.
I also thought that Pharaoh of Egypt was a pretty stupid guy. I mean, all those plagues (supposedly) and he still refused to grant Moses' request to go out into the wilderness to sacrifice to their God. (At that point, Moses wasn't even telling Pharaoh that they were going to leave Egypt, he only told Pharaoh to let them into the desert to offer sacrifices to the great Jah...)

Damn, I hate what this cult does to kids!!
You mentioned you had custody. Where I live, there are legally differing kinds of child custody -- full custody, sole custody, shared custody -- and they each have their distinctions and legalities.
Have you a lawyer? Can your find out what your legal rights are in this regard? Can your son be helped to be "neutral" until he is of legal age?
Also, do you know what the assembly part might be about or what is the point of his part? If it has anything to do with living in a "divided household", that could be very defaming to your character, to which you could strenuously object and threaten legal action....
I feel for you in this situation, not easy. No easy answers.

Couldn't take it anymore.
by Darkknight757 inso i decided yesterday to give my wife's full disclosure.
not sure it was the best decision considering she holds very firmly to the resurrection hope so we can see our babies again.. anyways she is agreeable to begin a study to find a better truth.
where is a good place to go to get some good reliable biblical info on the web that we can consider together?.

If you just want to read the Bible and have FUN reading it, I suggest looking into "The Message". Very colloquial but I understand it is a translation. -

The Stupidity of the "Preaching Work" ...
by Muddy Waters inthis came up in another thread and i wondered if any one else thought this way while they were still in..... - that it is actually better not to preach as people who don't hear "the truth" are said to be given a resurrection rather than the poor saps who refused a paltry magazine and now merit everlasting destruction..

Invisible Rulership - one of the dumbest things I ever believed in
by Black Man inhaving now been out of the cult for a few years, it really shocks me about some of the nonsense i used to believe in.
like for instance, christ ruling in the midst of his enemies, but doing so invisibly.. let's let that one sink in for a minute.
you've supposedly got a king who is ruling for a kingdom, but it is an invisible rule.
